Can I add an herbal consult into my visit?
As is the case with private acupuncture treatments there may be instances where deeper healing can be achieved by prescribing some herbs based on symptoms and consult information. If that is something that you and your practitioner agree would be beneficial then you can consider different ways in which to integrate herbal therapy into your treatment regiment (if you are not already coming to us for herbs). This will entail an additional $10 herbal consult in addition to the cost of herbs (about $18-$20 for a week of herbs). This can be scheduled with your practitioner.
What can I expect from community acupuncture treatments?
Community acupuncture session take place in comfortable reclining “zero gravity” chairs and are usually performed with other clients in the room on other similar reclining chairs. Sterile, single use, thin acupuncture needles are placed in distal points usually in the arms and legs, hands, feet and ears. Relaxing music will be played to enhance the healing experience. Many report the experience to be very relaxing and rejuvenative.
